Getting started is as simple as selecting your start date, end date, and number of hours you can commit to studying each day. Our Study Planner is designed to present you with the information you need to know to achieve your goals while remaining flexible and adaptable.

Yes. The UWorld Study Planner is free with all 180-, 360-, and 730-day subscriptions to our Step 1, Step 2 CK, Step 3, and COMLEX QBanks. It is not available without a QBank subscription.
Our Study Planner was built specifically for simplicity and personalization. Create your plan in 3 easy steps, and make modifications with drag-and-drop functionality. You can view your schedule in a calendar or list-based format based on your preference.
To create a study plan that aligns with your preclinical curriculum, use our “MaxFlex Plan.” For example, if you’re beginning the Circulation block, which usually lasts 8 weeks, you would create an 8-week study plan with specific tasks and goals aligned with that block. You can continue this process for each block to supplement your coursework as you prepare for the Step 1 exam.
To create a study plan that aligns with your clinical curriculum, use our “MaxFlex Plan.” For example, if you’re beginning the Internal Medicine rotation, which usually lasts 8 weeks, you would create an 8-week study plan using tasks that align with your “Medicine” shelf subject. You can continue this process for each rotation to supplement your shelf studies as you prepare for the Step 2 CK exam.
To create a study plan that aligns with your residency or work schedule, use our “MaxFlex Plan.” For example, pick a date 60 to 90 days before your Step 3 exam and enter the estimated number of hours you can dedicate to studying each day. Once your plan is generated, you can easily move tasks as your schedule changes without worrying about missing content. This allows you to stay focused on being a resident while completing the USMLE.
